Duty/Taxes

Please note that all items exported from the USA are subject to customs fees/duties/taxes which are for buyers account. Customs fees/duties/taxes are payable in your currency by you to your Customs authorities or their appointed agent when the item arrives. Please see shipping below for more information.
Important Note:
Some of our items we sell (particularly swords and knives), are prohibited imports into many countries. Please investigate with your local relevant government department. We cannot p
ay for shipping costs on items that are returned to the USA.

Fraud

All fraudulent activities, including attempts to defraud us are automatically reported to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.). We vigorously prosecute fraud. 

Gift Certificates

  • Purchase Gift Certificates: Place your order following the instructions.
    If you wish us to send the Gift Certificate to you, then simply fill in the billing address.
    If you wish us to send your Gift Certificate out then complete the shipping address. For electronic delivery (e-mail) then simply fill in the recipients e-mail address where indicated. If there is no e-mail, we'll mail out your Gift Certificate. 
  • Spend Gift Certificate: When you're ready to finalize your order simply select payment type as "Gift Certificate" After you click Finalize Order, follow the instructions you see on the screen. Any unused portion of your gift certificate can be carried over to your next purchase. If your gift certificate value does not cover your purchase, then we'll contact you to arrange payment of the balance.

Note : 

  • Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund.
  • Gift certificates are not transferable.
  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates. However, we have incorporated many checks and balances to ensure that your gift certificate is used by the intended person.

Liability & Indemnity

Release, assumption of risk, waiver of Liability and indemnity agreement. By purchasing any item sold by ShopLite, the buyer expressly warrants that he/she is in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations regarding the purchase, ownership and use of the item. This applies not only to the USA but worldwide. The buyer expressly agrees to indemnify and hold harmless ShopLite, for all claims resulting directly or indirectly from the purchase, ownership or use of the item in violation of applicable federal, state, and local laws or regulations.

Order

We’ve implemented powerful shopping cart software. Simply wander around our store, select all the items you want and when you’re ready you can proceed with your shopping cart to checkout where you can finalize your order.
E-mail Notification of Orders – placing an order immediately triggers an e-mail receipt to you confirming your order.
As soon as you click the button to submit your order, we begin assembling your items and shipment is direct to your door.

We accept payment by American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and checks or money orders denominated in U.S. dollars.

  • If you select check or money order when you finalize your order, please remember that at this time:
    - we can only accept postal money orders in US Dollars or US dollar checks drawn on a US bank, and
    - checks/money orders need to be mailed in to us.
    We will ship merchandise to you once the funds clear.

    Pricing

    All pricing is in US dollars. Where we advertise price matching or "we'll beat that price", then ShopLite reserves the right to review the comparative price and at its sole discretion accept or reject that price as a legitimately advertised price..( for example auctions or once off pricing are not considered legitimate ). In addition ShopLite is legally bound by the manufacturer not to sell some items below a certain minimum price.
    Note: Prices are subject to change without notice. In particular, when customers place orders for items that are back ordered or out of stock or not yet released, ShopLite reserves the right to change pricing when the product finally arrives (sometimes the manufacturer will adjust prices to us).
    Note: We sell thousands of products and prices may occasionally be incorrect. We will not come back to you after shipment but prior to shipment we reserve the right to correct the price and advise you.

    Privacy

    Our policy is simple.
    We do not sell, give away or otherwise distribute our customer information. We respect your right to privacy.

    Returns

    Items may be returned to us for a full refund under the following conditions:

    • You must e-mail us first (please do not call) for an RA number (Return Authority) and advise reason for return. Please either mention your Order Number or the name used to place the order.
    • Your request for return must be e-mailed within 10 days of receipt of merchandise.
    • Special Order items cannot be returned. We do not normally hold them in stock and they are therefore specially ordered in from the factory.

       Note:
      Items that are returned to us without the RA number AND your return name/address on the outside of the package will be refused.

    Returns must be:

    1. in original manufactures packing, shipped in a well insulated shipping box (carefully insulated to prevent transit damage);
    2. Item, manufacturers box, documentation, tags, must be in original mint condition; knife blades must be unused (We cannot do anything with used merchandise. If merchandise has been used then do not return ) and
    3. returned within 10 days of receipt of your RA number.

    Shipping costs will only be refunded if we shipped out the incorrect item or the item is faulty upon arrival and the item is replaced.
    Note
    a) Should the item not be received back in accordance with 1, 2 & 3 above, then a restocking fee of 10% may be levied. In extreme cases, where the item itself has been damaged or shows obvious signs of use, then we cannot issue a refund. Please advise us before returning. 
    b) Items must be insured. We cannot take responsibility for return shipments that are lost or stolen.
    c) Shoplite reserves the right to recover shipping costs when returns were originally shipped out under a "free shipping" promotion.
    d) A 6% credit card processing fee will be deducted from refunds. This is to recover Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Discover charges billed to us to charge and refund your credit card.
    PLEASE NOTE: Certain items have a 15% re-stocking fee simply because they ship from 3rd party distributor warehouses and some items are Special Order. Please check with us prior to ordering.

    Sales Tax

    California State law requires us to charge sales tax on all items sold/shipped within the state of California. This is calculated on the total value of your order. All other shipments are currently Tax free. However please see International Customs Fees/Duties/Taxes

    ShopLite takes advantage of Secure Sockets Layer security, protecting both shoppers and merchants while sensitive information is in transit over the Internet. Your valuable credit card numbers are encrypted while in transit and when stored on our server.

    In addition we automatically record the electronic origin off all transactions and verify all addresses when orders are paid for by Visa, MasterCard or American Express.
    Look out for additional payment options in the very near future. We are committed to include, the very latest secure electronic commerce options as soon as they are released and widely accepted.
    Is on-line shopping safe or not? Research shows that its safer than most people believe. You are more likely to have your credit card number stolen in daily use (passing your card over the counter, leaving credit card receipts lying around) than you are when you pass your number over the Internet.
    According to recent well publicized studies, losses from Internet commerce fraud are half that from traditional credit card fraud and a mere 5% of Cellular phone fraud.

    If you select UPS, this doesn’t necessarily mean that you will receive your merchandise on those days. If orders are received after 12 noon, then depending on volume, your order may only ship the next business day (Monday to Friday). Also, it may take us a few days to assemble and ship certain orders but using either of these two options will speed up delivery to you.

    Some manufacturers use designations to distinguish their products which they claim as trademarks. Where these appear in our site, and ShopLite is aware of a trademark claim, the designation is followed by a ™, or the designation is printed in CAPITAL letters or Initial Caps.
